we are trying to use the LKB FOS (2025) with the KRG. It loads and parses, and with appropriate fonts we can display Hangul. However, we cannot enter Korean in the parse window, if we select Korean from the input menu, it just shows the input keys in ascii, and does not convert. We also tried Czech, and it allows some input (e.g. ý, é) but not others (e.g. ž, ů). Any idea why?
Unfortunately, recent versions of LKB-FOS won’t accept characters typed at the keyboard that are outside the Unicode sets Basic Latin and Latin-1 Supplement. These contain e.g. ý, é, but not e.g. ž, ů. The old workaround of pasting characters in from another application should work fine. I’m hoping that this problem will be resolved in the next year or so when McCLIM finally ditches X in favour of SDL, which has much saner keyboard support.
