In the ERG, the current MRS for _They play music together_ looks as follows:

 ![Screenshot from 2023-12-18 12-50-04](https://delphinqa.ling.washington.edu/uploads/default/original/1X/f52cbda1eb2a7996dcd0ea8376063d270956fd8f.png)

In Spanish, the equivalent sentence involves gender and number agreement between the adverb (which is made of an adjective, so to speak):

```auto
(1) Ellos hacen música juntos.
    3PL.MASC do.3PL music united.3PL.MASC
    "They play music together." [spa]
```

I am wondering how the agreement between the subject pronoun and the adverbial modifier should be reflected in the MRS.

The current MRS from the SRG looks like this:

 ![Screenshot from 2023-12-18 12-57-59](https://delphinqa.ling.washington.edu/uploads/default/original/1X/48f3ad24ebf321c89bfca74d8107383aad2e219e.png)

There is a subordination relation which I suppose is OK, and then the modifier is linked to the event but, unlike the ERG, not through the ARG1. Furthermore, there is no connection to the pronoun.

Should I consider some changes in both these respects?

Why should it be reflected in the MRS at all? Isn’t the agreement here only syntactic?

The shape of the ERG parse is different also because the `_together_p_state` EP is not the same category as `_junto_a` and does not require the same methods of connection. Here is the MRS from a similar ERG parse for _They play music united_, which is not a very fluent translation, but its structure may be enlightening:

```ruby
[ "They play music united."
  TOP: h0
  INDEX: e2
  RELS: < [pron<0:4> LBL: h4 ARG0: x3]
          [pronoun_q<0:4> LBL: h5 ARG0: x3 RSTR: h6 BODY: h7]
          [_play_v_1<5:9> LBL: h8 ARG0: e2 ARG1: x3 ARG2: x9]
          [udef_q<10:15> LBL: h10 ARG0: x9 RSTR: h11 BODY: h12]
          [_music_n_1<10:15> LBL: h13 ARG0: x9]
          [subord<16:23> LBL: h1 ARG0: e14 ARG1: h15 ARG2: h16]
          [_united_a_1<16:23> LBL: h17 ARG0: e18 ARG1: i19] >
  HCONS: < h0 qeq h1 h6 qeq h4 h11 qeq h13 h15 qeq h8 h16 qeq h17 > ]
```

This looks very similar to the Spanish one except for three things (the last two are unrelated to the current question and I think they reflect bugs in the grammar):

- The `ARG1` of `_junto_a` uses a `u` variable instead of an `i` one for the unlinked argument.
- `_hacer_v` has an `ARG3` with the value `x9` but `x9` does not appear anywhere else. If it is an unfilled argument, I would expect an `i9` instead.)
- The (L)TOP is directly linked to the label of the highest EP in the Spanish MRS, but the ERG more conventionally goes through a qeq: `h0 qeq h1`

If you want `junto_a` to link to the `pron` EP, then you might be saying that _juntos_ is a property of _Ellos_ instead of a manner of _hacen música_. In the ERG, you can get a parse like this with, e.g., _United people play music_ or _They together play music_.
